A young and dynamic individual with numerous twists and turns in life.
If you love experimenting with new things out of curiosity, that would make the two of us.
I am a marketing and business development engineer by profession, and an amatuer photographer by passion and hobby.
Many of us say that we have come across a specific field by accident, but I feel it was not an accident rather a coincidence that I got introduced to photography.
It all began at the age of 10 when I held my first camera in those tiny and slender hands. It was an experience to remember. I didn’t know what to do with it. I went about fiddling with it until I clicked the shutter button, and it went click followed by a whrrrrr. For those of you wondering, the whrrrrr sound was nothing but the sound of the camera film being rolled inside.
In the meantime, as time went by, I began dismantling and opening up the old cameras I had in store to look at what is inside, and believe me, it was satisfying.
Fast forward, six years later, I got my hands on an SLR point and shoot camera. It was the biggest camera I had come across. Eager to try it, I went all around the house, capturing images of the most random of things.
That was it, the defining moment where I decided to take up photography as a hobby. All of this happened at the age of 16. Since then, I have been experimenting, learning, and moving ahead with photography as a hobby.
I have been a part of my college photography team and covered the college fest events all four years during my graduation. I have also been part of my department forum covering events for them. From all of this, I have inferred that one has a lot to learn in photography and, just like any subject, must be firm with fundamentals.
After graduation, I thought of monetizing this talent of mine, and I landed myself with a corporate event shoot. Even though this was my first official gig, I went with my head held high and beaming with confidence. It turned out to be a fantastic experience. I had a lot to take in from that event and have been ever ready since that day to grasp any opportunity I can get my hands on.
Some of my other hobbies include cycling, swimming, football, cricket, badminton, chess, and numismatics.
I enjoy making impromptu plans and executing them. One such experience has been going on a backpacking trip to some of the cities in North Karnataka with historical and architectural importance.
When I’m not doing any of the above, I enjoy doing a little bit of gardening, experimenting on graphic designing, and my favorite of all ballroom dancing.
The idea of coming up with this blog is an experiment, to be honest. I admit I’m not perfect, but with every stride I take forward, I want to make it an enjoyable experience for my audience out here.
Articles and blogs are as new to me as they are to you. Let us help each other grow. In this blog, I’ll be sharing articles, pictures, and tips on how one can begin their journey in photography. Join me as I take you on a fantastic expedition and make you fall in love with photography.
Happy to have you here, cheers!!
